Meet Our 2026 Coaches!

Erik Viilu, Head Varsity Coach

Coach Erik is excited to begin his first year as Head Varsity Coach at Yorktown High School! Erik started playing lacrosse in 6th grade in Northern Virginia for Braddock Road Youth Club, and fell in love with the sport. He played locally at Fairfax High School followed by stints at Washington College, GMU Club, and Mary Washington College as a Middie. Coach Erik has experience coaching at different levels for both boys and girls programs.

More recently, Erik has been a Co-Commissioner for Annandale Girls lacrosse for over 8 years and coached with them for over 6 years. He serves on the Executive Committee for Northern Virginia Youth Lacrosse League as girls coordinator. He’s coached HS lacrosse for over 8 years. Being involved in lacrosse for over 30 years makes being on the field some of the best parts of his days!

Brooke Adams, Assistant Varsity Coach

Coach Brooke is from Pasadena, Maryland and played lacrosse, ran indoor track, and soccer at Chesapeake High School. She continued her career playing lacrosse at Salisbury University as a defender.

While playing for Salisbury, Brooke earned a National Championship title in 2021, two conference championship titles, and played in the IWLCA All-Star game. She graduated with a degree in Elementary Education and now teaches in Arlington County. Brooke is excited to be part of the 2026 coaching team!

Keri McCarthy, Assistant Varsity Coach

Coach Keri is from Hauppauge, New York and was a 4 year varsity lacrosse and soccer player at Hauppauge High School from 2011-2015. She graduated high school as a 2x lacrosse All American and continued her lacrosse career at Stony Brook University as a midfielder. Coach Keri graduated college in 2019 and was the record-holder in career draw controls (387), earned IWLCA Mid-Atlantic All Conference, and on the Tewaaraton Watch List. She was a member of the SBU Women's lacrosse team when it was ranked the #1 Division 1 team in the country during her spring season in 2018. Keri is excited to be returning for another season!

Anna Agnes, Head JV Coach

Coach Anna brings a strong coaching background & deep connection to the Yorktown athletic community. She has proudly served as the Head JV Field Hockey Coach at Yorktown for four seasons & previously coached in upstate New York.

Anna played lacrosse as a defender in high school, continued at the club level while attending University of Albany, and remains active in the game as a team captain in the Women’s Mid-Atlantic Club Lacrosse League. Coach Anna is passionate about building strong fundamentals, confidence, teamwork, and sportsmanship while fostering a positive team culture and supporting athlete development both on and off the field.

Kate Agnes, Assistant JV Coach

Coach Kate is a Long Island, NY native and former multi-sport student-athlete. Throughout high school, she competed in soccer, basketball, and long-distance track and field, developing a strong foundation in teamwork, discipline, and perseverance.

She recently earned her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy and currently works as a school-based occupational therapist in Washington, D.C., supporting students ages 4–18.
